Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions about FluxCascade.
General
What is FluxCascade?
FluxCascade is a data integration platform that synchronizes data between business systems like CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) and field service software (Jobber). It keeps your systems in sync automatically, so your teams always have access to current data.
Which platforms do you support?
Currently supported:
- HubSpot – Contacts, Companies, Deals
- Jobber – Clients, Properties, Jobs, Quotes
- Pipedrive – Persons, Organizations, Deals
- Salesforce (Beta) – Contacts, Accounts, Opportunities, Leads
We're constantly adding new integrations. Request an integration if you don't see your platform.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We take security seriously:
- All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
- OAuth 2.0 authentication – we never store your passwords
- SOC 2 Type II compliant infrastructure
- You can revoke access to any connection at any time
See our Security documentation for details.
Do you store my data?
FluxCascade processes your data to sync it between systems but doesn't permanently store your business data. We maintain:
- Connection credentials (encrypted)
- Mapping configurations
- Sync logs and audit trails
- Temporary data during sync operations
Your actual business data (contacts, deals, etc.) remains in your connected systems.
Pricing & Plans
Is there a free trial?
Yes! We offer a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required to start.
What happens when my trial ends?
You'll be prompted to choose a plan. If you don't subscribe:
- Syncs will stop
- Your configuration is preserved for 30 days
- You can reactivate anytime by subscribing
Can I change plans later?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately, with prorated billing.
Do you offer discounts for nonprofits?
Yes! Contact us at support@fluxcascade.com for nonprofit pricing.
Connections
How do I connect a new system?
- Go to Connections
- Click Add Connection
- Select your platform
- Click Connect and authorize in the popup
- Once connected, you're ready to create mappings
See the Quick Start guide for detailed steps.
Can I connect multiple accounts of the same platform?
Yes! You can connect multiple HubSpot portals, Jobber accounts, etc. This is useful if you manage multiple businesses or want to sync between different accounts.
My connection shows as "Expired" – what do I do?
This usually means the OAuth token has expired or been revoked. To fix:
- Go to Connections
- Find the expired connection
- Click Reconnect
- Re-authorize in the popup
How do I disconnect a system?
- Go to Connections
- Find the connection
- Click Disconnect
- Confirm
This immediately revokes FluxCascade's access. Associated mappings will be paused.
Mappings & Syncs
What's the difference between one-way and bidirectional sync?
- One-way: Data only flows in one direction (e.g., HubSpot → Jobber)
- Bidirectional: Data flows both ways – changes in either system sync to the other
Choose based on which teams update data in which systems.
How often can syncs run?
From every 5 minutes to weekly. Options include:
- Every 5, 15, or 30 minutes
- Hourly
- Every 6 hours
- Daily or weekly
Plus real-time sync via webhooks for supported platforms.
What happens if both systems change the same record?
This is a "conflict." FluxCascade offers several resolution strategies:
- Last write wins: Most recent change takes precedence
- Source wins: Source system always takes precedence
- Target wins: Target system always takes precedence
- Manual review: Flag for human decision
See Conflict Resolution for details.
Can I sync custom fields?
Yes! FluxCascade automatically discovers custom fields/properties in your connected systems. They appear in the field mapping interface just like standard fields.
How do I test a mapping before running it?
- Create your mapping
- Click Test Sync instead of Sync Now
- Review the preview (shows what would sync)
- If satisfied, run the full sync
Why are some records not syncing?
Common reasons:
- Record doesn't meet filter criteria
- Required fields are missing
- Record already exists (duplicate detection)
- Transformation error on specific fields
Check Sync → [Job] → Logs for details on individual records.
Data & Privacy
Can you delete my data?
Yes. Contact support@fluxcascade.com to request data deletion. We'll remove:
- Your account and user data
- All connections (revoking access)
- Mapping configurations
- Sync logs
Your data in connected systems (HubSpot, Jobber, etc.) is not affected.
Do you comply with GDPR?
Yes. We offer:
- Data processing agreements (DPA)
- EU data residency options
- Right to deletion
- Data export capabilities
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export:
- Mapping configurations
- Sync history and logs
- Audit trails
Go to Settings → Data Export or contact support.
Technical
What APIs do you use?
We use the official APIs provided by each platform:
- HubSpot CRM API v3
- Jobber GraphQL API
- Pipedrive REST API v1
- Salesforce REST API
Do you count against my API limits?
Yes, FluxCascade uses your API quota when syncing. We optimize API usage by:
- Using bulk endpoints where available
- Incremental syncs (only changed records)
- Intelligent rate limit handling with backoff
Can I use the FluxCascade API?
Yes! We offer a REST API for programmatic access. You can:
- Manage connections
- Create and update mappings
- Trigger syncs
- Retrieve sync history
See the API Reference for documentation.
Do you support webhooks?
Yes, in two ways:
- Inbound: We receive webhooks from connected systems for real-time sync
- Outbound: We can send webhooks to your systems when syncs complete
Troubleshooting
My sync failed – what do I do?
- Check the sync details for error messages
- Common fixes:
- Authentication error: Reconnect the integration
- Rate limit: Wait and retry, or reduce sync frequency
- Data error: Fix the source data or add transformations
- See Error Handling for detailed guidance
Syncs are running slowly
Possible causes:
- Large number of records
- Many fields per record
- External system slowness
- Rate limiting
Optimizations:
- Use incremental syncs
- Reduce mapped fields
- Increase sync frequency to process fewer records each time
I'm not receiving sync notifications
Check:
- Settings → Notifications – are they enabled?
- Check spam/junk folder for emails
- Verify Slack integration if using Slack
- Ensure notification thresholds aren't filtering alerts
